Dryer Vent Cleaning

AtlasCare completes a full site analysis prior to the duct cleaning to ensure the exact needs of our customers are determined in advance so the job can be tailored to their equipment.

One of the most common analysis findings during our duct cleaning service is the condition of your dryer vents. Drying your clothes produces a lot of lint, which is why you must clean the lint trap after every load.

Unfortunately, some of the lint gets past the trap and collects in the vent pipe. Over time, lint can plug a vent and can become a potential fire hazard. In fact, plugged dryer vents have become one of the major causes of fires in homes. One sign of a restricted or plugged vent pipe is that it seems to take longer to dry your clothes.

In addition to cleaning your dryer vent, make sure your dryer is vented with a smooth sheet metal pipe, never corrugated, as the ridges trap lint very easily. Of course, this is the sort of information our Clean Air technicians go out of their way to explain when they come into your home for a duct cleaning or inspection.

Have your dryer vent cleaned out along with every duct cleaning and you and your family will sleep safer at night.
