AtlasCare in the Community
In pursuing perfect health for the homes of our customers, we are also conscious of improving the health of the communities in which we, and our customers, live, work and play. AtlasCare sponsors and participates in a variety of community-based events to help not-for-profit organizations continue their important work. We are proud to be involved with so many worthwhile initiatives, organizations and events.
Care to Share
Our Care to Share program ran during the 2010/2011 calendar year, and was a resounding success. Each month, AtlasCare drew from the list of applicants and donated $1,000 to the winning charitable cause. In total, $15,000 was donated to great community-based causes in the Greater Toronto Area. Recipients of the donations during the length of the program were:

Comfort Drive
It's a chilly thought - but winter will be upon us before we know it and the 4th Annual Comfort Drive will be in full swing. Once again, we will collect gently-used, adult-sized winter coats, boots, scarves, mitts and hats in support of Out of the Cold. Please keep us in mind if you are looking to donate any clean and gently-used items. Watch for more information coming soon!
MS Society
In addition to the MS Walk AtlasCare staff participate in every year, we were pleased to be a presenting sponsor of the MS Society's 10th Annual Golf Classic held September 14, 2010. The MS Society remains a cornerstone of AtlasCare's community involvement and we will continue to support the organization in any way we can.
Anniversary Gala supports MS Society and Food for Life
On October 27, 2007, AtlasCare hosted the Fire & Ice Gala, an evening designed to not only commemorate the company's 75th Anniversary, but also raise funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and Food for Life. Thank you to everyone for their support and generosity.
MS Society Walkathon
For many years AtlasCare has supported the MS Society Walkathon. Once again, on Sunday, April 19, 2009 the employees participated in the MS Society Walkathon at the Mississauga Lakeshore location. Over 40 employees and family members joined for the seventh year in a row. Read more about this fantastic event.
Annual Comfort Drive
In 2007 AtlasCare launched its first Comfort Drive. Each year, with generous contributions from our customers and employees, we were able to donate gently used coats and blankets to Out of the Cold. Read more about the AtlasCare Comfort Drive here.
A new playroom is born at Women's Shelter
AtlasCare provided a little comfort to children staying at Etobicoke's Women's Habitat when we donated $5,000 for much needed repairs and supplies for the shelter's playroom. Funds were used to purchase new flooring, paint, window coverings, table and chairs, cupboards, a TV and DVD player, floor pillows and toys.
